The Ministry of Education, through the Sports Council Secretariat, Department of Co-Curriculum Education, held a Sports Excellence Incentive Presentation Ceremony for the participation of the Brunei Darussalam Schools Sports Council Contingent in the 14th ASEAN Schools Games, ASG. The 14th ASG which took place in Brunei Darussalam last year, created history for the national contingent, when it managed to record the highest overall medal haul since its participation, namely 4 gold medals, 4 silvers and 10 bronzes. The Incentive Presentation Ceremony took place on 12th January afternoon at the Ministry of Education.

The presentation was officiated by Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education. The incentive award is in recognition of the achievements of student athletes at the national, regional and international levels. It also acts as an encouragement and motivation for student athletes to continue to strive to improve their performance.
